Stila Magnificent Metals Foil Finish Eye Shadow in Kitten: Review and Swatches

I picked this up recently at Sephora, and I thought you might like to see it. This product is a Sephora exclusive. From what I've found, there are 12 total shades, and three that truly are Sephora exclusives. You can pick 9 of the shades up from the Stila website. They retail for $32

How the product is packaged

Mixing tray
I picked up the shade kitten, because it's a well loved Stila shadow. It comes with a mixing tray, the shadow, and a stay all day liquid eye primer. This cream shadow has a lot more shimmer and shine than it's powder form, due to the foil pieces. The texture is a very thick cream. It reminds me of how the Maybelline Dream Bouncy Blushes feel, just by pressing on it. It has mirror packaging with a twist on/off cap. It has a very nice weight to it. It says Stila on the front, and tells you the shade, weight, and other info on the back.

The shade itself is very beautiful. It has a lot more shimmer and shine than the powder form like I said, but the color rings true. There are three main different ways to use it. You can just put it on without any primer, the look of this is very sheer. You can mix the color in the tray with the primer to get the desired intensity. Or you can just put some primer on your eye and pat on the shadow for a more intense opaque look. You can see the swatches below.
Left to right: shadow alone, shadow patted onto primer,
and shadow mixed with primer.
I've gotten a lot of complements while wearing this. I probably will pick up more of these, there are a lot of different shades. When I wore it patted onto the primer, I checked throughout the day for creasing, and there was none to be found! It held up all day.

Overall I think this is a great product. I don't own anything like this, very one of a kind. Great pay off. Before using this I would recommend playing with it a little bit, because fall out can occur. I do think this is a little over priced, I would say it's more around the $27 range. You do however get the three pieces to it, and you will have it for a very long time. I would recommend this to people who like shimmery shades on the eyes.

I would give this an 8 out of 10.
It was a little expensive, but it's very unique, and overall really good.
If any of you have tried these out, let me know. I would love to hear what shades are good.
